Non-Toxic Bug Spray (the one I used in India)

I was told the mosquitoes in India were intense.

I wanted to stay bite-free, but avoid any toxic chemicals and ingredients (I believe in the earth & nature!). So, I turned to my naturopath.

I knew she had made a bug spray for when she was building a house in the woods that worked great.

She made me some to take on my trip and I’m happy to say, that while oily, (more than conventional brands so be sure to rub it in - not just spray it on), it was the best! Non-toxic, vegan and no synthetics.

Non-Toxic, Essential Oil Bug Spray
2 oz almond or unscented carrier oil
5 drops cedarwood essential oil
5 drops juniper berry essential oil
5 drops geranium essential oil
15 drops lemon-scented eucalyptus essential oil

Add all the essential oils to a dark 2oz bottle with spray top (it is important that the bottle is dark as exposure to light and heat can change the properties of the essential oils).

Cover with the 2oz of carrier oil. Shake and spray directly onto skin. Reapply as needed.

Enjoy for yourself, your loved ones or great to make as a gift!
